~It is amazing to share this up close and personal encounter with wildlife from many parts of the world. You can use this to teach respect of these animals while watching them in a some what natural setting.

~Great fun and a learning opportunity too!  My little water baby loved splashing in the water feature. No area is too deep, and there are little geysers and waterfalls to play in.

~It is one of our families favorite things to do in the Summer.  Each Wednesday evening we pack a picnic dinner or buy dinner at the market, spread a blanket out on the grass and enjoy!  Most weeks they have music and it is an after dinner treat to play in the fountain. Do not forget the shopping, the fresh fruits and vegetables are a family favorite!

~Love this place!  Best in Spring when Rhododendrons are in bloom, but fun all year round.  Some weekdays have free admission.  Fun to see wildlife, kids enjoy feeding the ducks.  Have to buy special feed at front gate or at market down the street.  Not expensive.  Take camera, great place for pictures.

~All of the waterfalls along the Columbia River highway are beautiful and interesting, each in their own unique way.  Multnomah Falls is especially fun because you can hike up to the bridge right in front of the falls and feel the spray on your face. -Beaverton Mom of 2

~Now that both of the kids are walking, this is an incredible place, a short drive, for them to stretch their legs.  With the little creek and the diverse wildlife that inhabits the area, we are never at a loss for new things to see.  Additionally, for train lovers (as my son is) the is a great chance to see real life locomotives from a safe distance.

~This is an easy hike suitable for families with kids who will ride in a backpack. we have even managed this trail with our little ones in a jogger/stroller. our two year old loves to hike the last quarter mile or so on his own, and there is a cave that he searches for ogres! The falls are spectacular, and it is a hike in the gorge that travels away from the highway, and doesn't go straight up. It's really wonderful in the summertime, but we enjoy it throughout the year.
Angela, Portland mom of two.(2 and 3 months)
